Sonya Vai

Sonya Vai is a New York-based comedian, actress, and writer whose sharp, observational voice connects with audiences wherever she performs, from comedy clubs to international stages. Following a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, she completed a 50-show European tour through London, Paris, and Barcelona. She made her television debut on PBS' "Stories from the Stage", and her original pilot received rave reviews at the Austin Film Festival. She has been featured in The New York Times and The Hollywood Reporter, and was selected for Sofia Chang's "Unlock Her Potential", one of the country's most competitive comedy mentorships for women of color. She performs nightly across New York City's top clubs including New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, The Stand, Gotham, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, among others.
