Vikki Romero Aka 'VALENTINA' was born in Brooklyn, New York, raised in Long Island till the age of 10. Her parents moved to Puerto Rico where at the age of 12 she studied Guitar. lessons. Vikki Romero enjoyed Jazz, Classical, Tropical Music and Boleros. She also enjoyed singing songs from the legendary Mexican singer, 'Jose, Jose' (Principe de la Voz), and Barbra Streisand(her inspirations). Vikki Romero, started developing her talent in composing when she sang and played the guitar with her brothers little group (Victor Romero). Vikki Romero played at private parties, Social events and various important night clubs in Puerto Rico such as 'Club La Ruleta', from Isla Verde 'El Festival del Viejo San Juan' and 'Festival de Dorado (Puerto Rico)''. Later Vikki moved to Miami, Florida, Where she continued her vocal and music study at “Hess Conservatory” Later after was discovered by the composer and writer Richard Carpio, with whom she collaborated musically for a few years cultivating the American market and composing (cross-over) songs with the lyrics in both languages. Under the label BMC Records (Miami), she records her first L.P. in Spanish in the Tropical Salsa rhythm titled 'Pa' Ti Na' Ma',' which was one the songs written by Vikki Romero and Richard Carpio. Vikki Romero, reached another step on her stairway of hits when she had the opportunity of doing her own T.V. show on Channel 14, called 'El Show de Valentina'. She also had the privilege of appearing on T.V. specials like: 'TBN' 'Comentario canal 2' 'Cada Dia' 'El Show de Blanquita Amaro', 'Yedra Presenta', 'El Show de Rolando Barral', the internationally acclaimed 'Sábado Gigante'. El show de Eduardo Lujan' 'Despierta America' and 'Bank United Center', where she performed with 'Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz'. The list is too long to count. Vikki Romero, has shared the stage for many popular artists and Musicians like: (Fania artists); Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, José Fajardo (El Flautista), Celia Cruz, Andy Montañez, Tito Nieves, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Jeff Morales , Puchi Colon, Tony Vega, Rey Tavares, Mike Rivera,Willie Panamá (El Reguetonero de La Salsa), Juan Carlos Alvarado, Luisito Carrion, Giovanni Hidalgo, Freddy Lugo y Su Sabor Tropical, Andy Guzman, Raul Gallimore, Frank Bello,Orquesta Jahaziel, Alex Morris, Francés Lizzett Viera, Wanda Rolon, Ben Hur, Michel Eustache. Just to mention a few.
